We enjoy exclusive access to seriously steep, rough, disused tracks near Luss, which take us high onto the hills surrounding Loch Lomond for breath-taking views across the islands.
Our expert Loch Lomond off road driving guides are huge characters with lots of funny stories and banter for our guests – you’ll experience a brilliant tour as you get to grips with our impressive, brand new Land Rover vehicles.
The ½ Day session starts in the Luss hills where you’ll learn to drive off road, learning about the capabilities of our superb Land Rover vehicles, and learning some important off-road driving techniques, tackling steep inclines and declines, side slopes, rock crawls, mud and ruts.
Once you’ve mastered the basics, the real tour begins; following the disused tracks on the steep hillside, the terrain becomes increasingly challenging and the views become even more spectacular!
You’ll pause at the top of the hill for photos with some of the best views Scotland has to offer. We always include some complimentary bottles of water and Scottish nibbles. Then it’s on to our second site overlooking Loch Long. We can even arrange a wonderful rustic mountaintop picnic or BBQ.
Our 2016 Land Rover Defender ‘Adventure Edition’ is one of only 600 produced; this is the very last limited edition of the iconic Land Rover Defender, and arguably the best off-road equipped factory-built defender ever produced.
The ‘110 Adventure’ is equipped with under body protection, expedition roof rack, high level air intake (snorkel) and chunky all terrain tyres on it’s gorgeous diamond cut alloy wheels.
It’s every bit as impressive on the inside with it’s premium ebony leather interior and alcantara headliner; we couldn’t have you off-roading in anything but the height of luxury!
Our 2016 Land Rover Discovery 4 Landmark Edition is a completely different driving experience - it's much more technically advanced machine than the Defender with it’s height adjustable suspension and special off road programmes. Having the different vehicles offers a brilliant contrast and really adds to the experience.
We also have access to a fleet of Defenders and Discoveries from 4x4 Hire partners, so we often create programmes for large groups, usually combining a few of our other experiences, such as our speedboat adventure.
Although we can never guarantee it, we usually see lots of wildlife on the 4x4 Adventures. Keep you eyes peeled for Deer, Stags, Pheasants, Buzzards, Osprey, Golden Eagles, Highland Cows… and we’ve even sighted the elusive Haggis!
